Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Cairo

Arrival to Cairo International Airport — our Melia Travel Egypt representative will be waiting holding the sign of Melia Travel. Private transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids - Sakkara Step Pyramid

Breakfast at your hotel, then move to start your blissful day kicking off at Memphis; the ancient capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom.

It was founded by King Menes. Poceed to the Step Pyramid at Sakkara which was designed by the architect Imhotep for his master King Zoser.

(Optional) Lunch at good quality local restaurant.

After that, move to visit the enchanting pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus at Giza.

Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, dates back to the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. Back to your hotel and Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing Tour

Breakfast at the hotel and then you will be escorted by your private guide to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the largest archaeological museum in the world showcasing the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun alongside thousands of magnificent ancient Egyptian artifacts.

Transfer to visit Salah El Din Citadel which was constructed by Salah El Din in 1183 AD to defend Cairo from the armies of Crusaders. After that, visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled over 45 years. (Optional) Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

Continue driving to the area of Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Then we move on to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue and back to hotel and overnight in Cairo.

Breakfast, then transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Aswan. Meet & assist upon arrival then embark your 5★ Deluxe Nile Cruise before lunch. Sail by Felucca around Kitchener’s Island & Agha Khan Mausoleum. Dinner & Nubian Folklore Show. Overnight Aswan.

Day 4: Fly Cairo to Luxor - Luxury Nile Cruise

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Cairo, then transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor.
Upon arrival, embark on board a 5★ Luxury Nile Cruise for a relaxing week sailing the Nile in ultimate comfort and elegance.

After lunch on board your luxury cruise, enjoy an excursion to visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast Hypostyle Hall of 137 columns, followed by a visit to the Luxor Museum.

Overnight moored on the banks of the Nile in Luxor.

Day 5: Luxor and Dendera

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to the West Bank to visit the burial places of the Pharaohs; the Valley of the Kings, where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen` in 1922.

Continue to the temple of Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon. Back to the Nile Cruise and sail on the way to Qena (noon time) to visit the Temple of Dendera, dedicated to Hathor, Goddess. Overnight in Qena.

Day 6 - Luxor Sightseeing

Breakfast on board your Luxury Nile Cruise whilst sailing to Luxor. Leave your boat to visit the Valley of the Nobles and Deir El Madina.
Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, then move to the East Bank to visit the impressive Luxor Temple.
Dinner and overnight on board your Luxury Nile Cruise.

Day 7 - Edfu Temple

After breakfast on the Nile Cruise, visit the well-preserved Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to Horus in Edfu. Dinner and overnight onboard your Luxury Nile Cruise in Edfu.

Day 8 - Aswan Tours

Sail to Aswan with breakfast on board your Nile cruise, then enjoy a day’s sightseeing in Aswan. visit the Aswan High Dam (completed in 1971); the Old Dam (completed in 1902).

Move also to visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, a structure rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam's construction. Back to Nile Cruise and overnight in Aswan.

Day 9 -  Kom Ombo Temple

Breakfast on Nile Cruise whilst sailing to Kom Ombo to see the unique Temple of Sobek, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god. Lunch on board. Continue sailing to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board your Luxury  Nile Cruise.

Day 10 - Optional Tour to Abu Simbel

Breakfast on board the Nile Cruise with free time in Aswan, or you can take our recommended optional tour to one of Egypt's top tourist attractions, Abu Simbel temple, which were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC, as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari. Dinner and overnight on board your Nile Cruise

Day 11 - Aswan - Cairo - Fly Back Home

Breakfast on board with free time. Disembark your Nile Cruise, then you will be transferred to Aswan Airport for flight to Cairo airport to connect with your flight back home.
